Adrift in the Atlantic

Using primary sources and several first-hand accounts, this 15-page article tells the story of some very lucky Allied servicemen, who had been aboard a transfer flight and survived the unpleasant and highly dangerous experience of a nighttime ditching in the Atlantic. Against all odds, the men were picked up by the crew of a German Heinkel 115 and rescued. The article contains several first-hand accounts from both Allied and German side, is illustrated with ten photos, war-time documents, an overview map and tables.
