Hampden Bomber in Swedish Service

5,00

The story of the Swedish dalliance with the Handley Page Hampden bomber. With war seemingly looming in the 1930s, the Swedes underwent a search for a multi-purpose bomber. The Swedish government was very keen on the Hampden, much to the annoyance of the Swedish air force, and one example of the British bomber eventually found its way to Sweden, but it was a six-year tale of mismanagement, delays and poor decisions. The story is ably told by Swedish aviation historian Mikael Olrog, and is lavishly illustrated with 31 photographs. The 23-page article includes many photos, aircraft profiles, an overview map and first-hand account.
