New eArticle release! The first eArticle in a line of camouflage commentaries has been released. Luftwaffe camouflage and markings expert David E. Brown has written an interesting article about a JG 26 Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8 that has often appeared in books over the years, and finally solves the mystery of its code colour and unit assignation. The aircraft is also used by David as an excellent example of the use of colour RLM 77 Hellgrau (Light Grey) in Luftwaffe camouflage schemes, including on the Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4 ‘White 8 + |’. This 21-page eArticle is very well illustrated with sixteen photos (six in colour), three profiles by Claes Sundin, illustrations, and an overview map of the II./JG 26 movements in September 1944 – a period when the unit was transferring out of France as the Allied ground forces advanced rapidly towards Germany.
