This eArticle is a thorough investigation into the 27 May 1942 loss of the HMS Arctic Pioneer and Jabo pilot, Leutnant Josef ‘Sepp’ Fröschl. It was a typically eventful mission in the German fighter-bomber campaign waged over the Channel and south-east England. Flying in under the radar, Jabo raiders led by the future Ritterkreuzträger, Lt. Fritz Schröter, were able to gain complete surprise, but for the British involved in the event, the result was tragic. This 12-page article contains twelve photos, one colour map, and one appendix.
